Frederick “Fred” Misfeldt was born in July of 1886. His first marriage was to Flora Dean Harper (1887-1938). They moved to the Lincoln City area of Oregon during the Great Depression.

Fred and Flora had seven children: Vadston, also known as Dayton (1908-1993); Hazel (1909-); Bessie; Darrow, also known as Dareld (1912-1972); Elmer; Emmett Peter (1919-1996); and, Carrie (1925-2000).

Fred’s second marriage was to someone named Norene.

Fred & Flora’s oldest daughter, Hazel, married an Arthur Lawrence Schelb from the Chippewa Falls area in 1926 and they moved to Oregon in 1929 during the Depression. Lawrence and Hazel had four children: Fred, Bernard, Aloises, and Phern.

Fred Schelb met and married Muriel Kirker in 1948 and they had five children: Christopher, Wendie, Susan, Thomas, and Barbara.

Emmett Peter “Duke” Misfeldt was married three times.

Emmett’s first marriage was to Ivanetta Kenworthy and they became parents of Thomas Lee Misfeldt.

Emmett’s second marriage was to Bette Shoepe who became parents of Gary Lee Misfeldt.

Emmett’s third marriage was to Betty Woods and they had five daughters: Bessie Lee; Flora Fay; Norene Liliane; Peggy Ann; and, Grace Marie (Ashley).
