Hubbard Misfeldt. \u00a0Galen was born February 21, 1922 at Thorp in Clark County, Wisconsin, where he attended Thorp High School. \u00a0He later served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, enlisting after Pearl Harbor because, as his youngest brother wrote: \u00a0&#8220;They were going to be drafted anyway.&#8221; \u00a0Neither he or older brother Clyde left the United States during the war.<\/p>\n<p>Galen stayed home on the farm until he was 28. \u00a0He married Ruth Zimmerman on October 18, 1952. \u00a0Ruth was born at Byron in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin on November 23, 1916.<\/p>\n<p>Galen spent most of his professional career working the Thorp Finance Corporation, which later became ITT Thorp Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Galen and Ruth had two children:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mona Rae Misfeldt was born November 30, 1954; and,<\/li>\n<li>Kurt Lee Misfeldt was born July 28, 1956.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Galen G. Misfeldt<\/strong> &#8211; February 21, 1922 to May 17, 1993<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ruth Zimmerman Misfeldt<\/strong> &#8211; November 23, 1916 to<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Galen Glenn Misfeldt was the third of four sons born to John Regard and Mabel L.
